Suspected Boko Haram terrorists engage the police in gun battle in Kano

Nigeria - The police in Kano State on Sunday morning engaged gunmen suspected to be members of the Boko Haram in a gun duel.

The operatives were members of a special task force set up by the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris.

At the end of the battle, three Boko Haram fighters were arrested.

Nigeria - Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, has said when the President returns from his medical vacation, those he described as “filthy dreamers” will hide their heads in shame.
The presidential spokesperson, who made the remark, in a piece said the filthy dreamers are those who “despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities”.

Home Alone actor, John Heard dies at 72. Watch tribute VIDEO

John Heard, the Hollywood actor best known for roles in Home Alone and Gladiator, has died aged 72.

His cause of death was not immediately known.

Heard’s body was found in a hotel in Palo Alto, California, by maid services. He had reportedly been staying at the hotel after “minor back surgery” this week.
