Kano records five deaths, discharges three COVID-19 patients

Nigeria - Kano State Government on Thursday announced that it discharged three persons who earlier tested positive for coronavirus.





The state ministry of health disclosed this via its Twitter handle.
Five other patients died of COVID-19, raising the death toll in the state to 13, the health ministry said.
According to the tweet, the recovered patients have been discharged from the government’s facility where they received treatment.
This brings the number of patients who have recovered from COVID-19 in Kano to six since the outbreak of the disease in the state.
Kano reported 30 new cases of coronavirus on Wednesday, trailing Lagos which had 82 new infections.
Kano is presently on a total lockdown while many other parts of the country are on partial lockdown. On Wednesday night Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed a total of 195 new cases of coronavirus in the country.
Nigeria currently has recorded over 3,000 infections, with 534 recoveries and 103 deaths.
