One dead, 15 injured after two buses collide in London

A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a crash between a car and two buses in south London, police say.


The man was the driver of a car involved in a collision with the two single-decker buses just after 10pm on Thursday in Orpington.
He is in police custody.
One person died at the scene and 15 people were injured in the crash.
No details have been released about the victim and police said they are trying to contact the next of kin.
Photos posted on social media showed debris strewn across the road in Orpington as emergency services attended.

London Ambulance Service said it sent 10 ambulance crews to the crash scene and the 15 people injured were all taken to hospital.
