Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has held a series of meetings with the board and still retains their support, the UK Times reports.
The agenda in those meetings, have been their next batch of transfer targets.
Solskjaer is under mounting pressure, after the club’s worst start to a Premier League season after eight games.
The Red Devils have won just twice and sit only two points above the relegation zone. They face league leaders Liverpool next and there have been suggestions, that another bad result and performance could see Solskjaer axed.
However, it is understood that Solskjaer’s job is safe even if United suffer a heavy defeat against rivals Liverpool, with club bosses conscious of the difficult task their manager has inherited.
They have already held a series of meetings with Solskjaer to discuss future signings and want to bring in four new players next year, one of which will be a centre-forward.
