Kanu Nwankwo aka Papilo appointed as SSA on Sports matters to Imo state Gov. (PHOTOS)

Nigerian football legend, Kanu Nwankwo has been appointed as Senior Special Assistant on Sports matters to Imo state Governor, Chukwuemeka Ihedioha. 




The appointment was confirmed during a special dinner which took place at the Government House in Owerri on Wednesday, August 14, 2019. 

This will be Kanu’s first political appointment since he retired from football in 2011. 



In his new role, 43-year-old is expected to help the Imo state government in developing the sports sector and also advise Governor Ihedioha on sports-related issues.
