Tragedy as four children among eight dead after explosion at ski resort, Poland

Four children are among eight people who have died after a gas explosion at a ski resort in Poland.

The victims, believed to be from two families, were found among the rubble of a three-storey building that collapsed because of the blast in the mountain town of Szczyrk on Wednesday.

Tragedy as three police officers killed in bombing after renewed protests in Colombia

Three police officers have died in a bomb blast at a police station in Colombia, after thousands gathered for renewed protests in the capital, Bogota.
