Nigerian man found dead in his house in India (PHOTO)

A 35-year-old Nigerian national was found dead at his home in Uttam Nagar on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Neely Emeka, who has been staying in the country for the past two years, said police.

A police officer said that the police control room had received information about a man found dead in the Uttam Nagar area. A police team reached the spot and found a Nigerian national dead on his bed. The exact cause of  his death could be confirmed after post-mortem.
According to the police,
“A police team reached the spot and found a Nigerian national dead on his bed,” he said. The official also added that a friend had been by to see Emeka on Friday morning but found the door locked from inside.
“He knocked but did not get any response from inside.
He waited for around 20 minutes but didn’t get an answer.
The friend informed the police that Emeka had been ill for the past few days, said the police.
Emeka’s family members and the Nigerian High Commission have been informed about the incident, the police added.
