Borno Police confirms suicide attack killed 13 in the state

Nigeria - The Borno State Police Command on Monday Confirmed suicide bomb attack at about 10:50 am, which killed 13 persons, including the suicide bombers.
A statement from the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Victor Isuku Monday evening said, “Today at about 1050hrs, two males and a female suicide bomber, carried out coordinated suicide bomb attacks at different locations in Mashemari village in konduga LGA.

“The first explosion occurred when there was sounds of sporadic shooting in a farm.
“In the ensuing stampede, the first bomber detonated. While the other two bombers detonated within the village, and close to the house of the village Head (Bulama).
“Thirteen (13) persons including the three suicide bombers died in the three explosions, while sixteen persons sustained injuries and were evacuated to General Hospital, Konduga.

“Police EOD and SARS teams were mobilized to the scene, and normalcy restored,” the statement said.
