Nigerians have reacted with mixed feelings to President Muhammadu Buhari’s address to the nation on Monday, two days after he returned from medical vacation in the UK.
The speech which did not last up to 10 minutes, addressed issues majorly bordering on security and also the wrong use of social media in spreading fake news.

Some of the reactions on Twitter were positive, with some users happy with Buhari’s return after over 100 days away.
Others were furious with the brevity of the speech and were left uninspired.
Here are some of them:
@Gentlelookz: So My President spoke to us for 5mins
@kanebi247: All the Nigerian presidents have been useless… Only obasanjo tried the rest useless
@rijiriji: Well, good to know the President is back. Now can we see your handwork asap? #BuhariSpeaks
@Maxwelikechukwu: Glad PMB is back. Time for the King to take the driving seat and propel this nation forward while the Hyenas and Jackals grab the back seat.
@iamtenseven: My God…is this the national broadcast we have all been waiting for? I give up. May God save Nigeria
@Clemsakin71: End of 5 minutes presidential broadcast. Short & sharp. Let reactions begin.
@chiksky02: I just listened to the president speak. And I must say that there is wisdom in old age. No sickness can rub that off.
@DemolaRewaju: Social media is a threat to the powers-that-be. Buhari mentioned it in his inauguration speech two years ago, mentioned it today again.
@Nedunaija: Good Lord! You didn’t address your absence for months and its significance. You are glossing over the people’s genuine complaints?
