Manchester United’s latest bid for Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata, which is believed to be around €80million has been rejected.
According to Goal, the La Liga giants are holding out for €90m (£79m) for the striker.
Jose Mourinho has made Morata his number one target, as he seeks to fill the void left by the departure of Zlatan Ibrahimovic from Old Trafford.
United have been in lengthy talks with Real over a deal, with Mourinho desperate to bring in the 24-year-old for the beginning of the club’s pre-season tour of the United States next week.
It is also understood that Morata who is currently on holiday, does not want to return to Real’s pre-season camp.
The player has his heart set on moving to the Premier League, with all but the fee agreed between the three parties.
