Confusion in French airport as airline official, passenger exchange blows

The French Police are probing the root of a brawl at Nice Airport, France on Saturday.
A video footage of fisticuff shows a worker punch an easyJet passenger holding a baby.

Tension likely ran high after the EasyJet airline flight EZY2122 from Nice to London Luton was delayed for 13-hours.
Police launched an investigation into the incident after Sun Online revealed a video of the brawl.
The video showed a passenger holding a baby having a talk with the airport official. Then suddenly,
after appearing to knock the passenger’s phone out of his hand the airport worker throws the punch.
French prosecutors are now investigating the incident and the British passenger – who has since returned to the UK – could be extradited back to France.
Neither man has been named.
A source close to the investigation told Sun News Online that, “Both men have been caught on CCTV fighting. The passenger appears to be responsible for the first physical contact, but the matter is still under investigation.”
An eye-witness also explained that after a 13-hour wait passengers with kids had been sent into the tunnel to board the aircraft, but when they reached the other side it was blocked.
After waiting in the tunnel for 30 to 40 minutes the frustrated passengers returned to the boarding lounge.
The onlooker said the Nice airport worker, who was not employed by EasyJet, was just “smiling at this guy, not helping him” and knocked his phone to the floor when he appeared to try and take a picture.
There are strict laws against photographing officials at airports in France.
Video footage then appears to show the passenger, who has a baby on his hip, push the airport worker who responds by punching him.
Airport staff and onlookers had to separate the pair with police called to the scene, witnesses said.
It is understood the airport worker is claiming he acted in self-defence.
Passengers said they were forced to wait for a replacement plane in a departure lounge, with little more than a Starbucks and duty-free, for hours.
In the video footage, a woman can be heard shouting at the airport worker: “This is a disgrace. We have children, babies, screaming, no nappies, no food.” she was also heard asking the official what he was smiling at.
