Neymar came close to signing for Manchester United last summer in a world record deal, only for the transfer to collapse at the last minute.
The 25-year-old is now set to join Paris Saint-Germain this summer, in a world record £196m move, but he could have been a Red Devil after agreeing personal terms, report L’Equipe.
Neymar has agreed to a five-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain.
Sky Sports broke the news Wednesday night.
According to the breakdown of Neymar’s contract, PSG will pay him £90 million (€100 million/$119 million) per season in salary in bonuses.
However, that amount will not enter his account due to France’s 75% tax on its highest earners.
Neymar’s will earn £26.7 million (€29.8 million/$35 million) per season after taxes, plus other on-field bonuses and off-field marketing opportunities.
The deal will make him the most expensive transfer in soccer history and the highest-paid player ever.
