Nigeria - Two teenagers have reportedly died in a swimming pool belonging to a hotel in Okhoro, in the Egor Local Government Area of Edo State.
The victims’ identities were given as Isibor Ikponmwosa, 17 and Emmanuel Abuzu, 16.
It was gathered that the victims paid about N500 each to use the swimming pool before they were reportedly drowned.
According to Punch, the hotel, Okhoro Play House, said to be popular in the area, had been under lock and key since the incident occurred.
Meanwhile, some workers of the hotel had also been taken to the Okhoro Police Station for interrogation.
However, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Moses Nkombe, said he was not aware of the incident, and that he was away on an official assignment.
It was, however, learnt that the case had been transferred to the homicide department of the state police command.
