Nigeria - Former Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwakwanso has defected from the ruling All Progressives Congress to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
According to the Vanguard, the former presidential aspirant left the party along with 10 Kano lawmakers on Tuesday.
This comes one year after the APC leadership in Kano State, initiated moves to suspend Kwankwanso over what it called anti-party activities.
The APC Chairman in Kano, Haruna Doguwa, had said Kwakwanso allegedly exhibited actions capable of compromising the party’s unity.
