Senate President Saraki declares: President Buhari is healthy and in good spirits, no power vacuum

Nigeria - Senate president, Bukola Saraki has confirmed that President Muhammadu Buhari is healthy after his visit to London.
The Senate president, the Speaker of the House of Representative, Yakubu Dogara and Senator Ahmed Lawan who is the Senate leader paid a visit to the president on Wednesday, February 15.

In a statement via his official Facebook page, the Senate president said the president was cheerful and that his absence from the country has not created a vacuum.
He wrote: “Myself, Rt Honorable Speaker, Yakubu Dogara and leader of Senate, Senator Ahmed Lawan paid a visit to President Buhari in Abuja House in London.
“We were delighted to see that President Buhari is doing well, was cheerful and in good spirits.
“The president I saw today is healthy, witty and himself.
“The president’s absence and imminent return shows that there is no vacuum in government and our system of democracy is working with all organs of government fulfilling their mandate. And let me use the time tested cliché, there is no cause for alarm!”
