Global Entertainment: Game Of Thrones Season Seven To Be Delayed

The creators of Game Of Thrones have revealed the air date for season seven has been delayed.
Each new series of the Sky Atlantic and HBO series has typically started in April but in 2017 this will not be the case.

"We don't have an air date yet, but this year will probably be a little bit later," David Benioff and Dan Weiss said on the UFC Unfiltered podcast.
The pair said that the production will need to wait for some winter weather before filming because at the end of season six "winter is here".
"We're starting a bit later because you know at the end of this season winter is here and that means sunny weather doesn't really serve our purposes anymore," Benioff explained.
"So we kind of pushed everything down the line so we could get some grim grey weather, even in the sunnier places we shoot."
The showrunners also confirmed that the two remaining seasons will be shorter - with season seven perhaps only comprising seven episodes.
"We don't have a definite episode count but each season will be a little bit shorter just because each year it takes longer and longer to shoot," Benioff said.
Benioff and Weiss have previously confirmed that the hit fantasy show will end after eight series.
Game Of Thrones is based on the books A Song Of Ice And Fire by George RR Martin who still has two more novels to write.
