Manchester United have asked Jose Mourinho to hold on for a year before replacing Louis van Gaal but the ex-Chelsea man wants the job as soon as possible, according to The Sun.
The Dutchman will lead his team into the FA Cup final this month, after an uneven season at the Old Trafford helm.
And despite the supposed plea for patience, Mourinho is ready to take the reins as soon as the current campaign comes to an end.
