Obasanjo kicks at Nnamdi Kanu over Biafra: No sane person will seek Nigeria’s split

 

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has criticised Nnamdi Kanu and other pro-Biafra agitators insisting that the country will never break up.

Obasanjo, who spoke on Friday at Effurun, Delta State, said “Will any person in his right senses believe that the way out of our problems in Nigeria is separation? We have past that stage. 

We have many problems if we can talk about them and we must talk about them. We must find solution to them.”

Fani Kayode declares: Oduduwa Republic will be created 6 months after Biafra emerges

Nigeria - Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has claimed that Oduduwa Republic will be created 6 months after Biafra becomes a sovereign nation.

Fani-Kayode, who has been publicly supporting Biafra’s movements for secession from Nigeria, took to his Twitter page on Friday, to insist on a referendum.

Gonorrhoea infections are increasing, but doctors are running out of antibiotics that can fight the increasingly resistant bacteria causing the sexual disease, the World Health Organisation (WHO) warned on Friday.

Gonorrhoea is a sexually transmitted infection (STI) caused by bacteria called Neisseria gonorrhoeae or gonococcus.

US First Lady Melania shuns G20 programme for spouses

US first lady, Melania Trump, skipped the first part of the programme for spouses put together as part of the Group of 20 summit in Hamburg, Germany, on Friday.

Other spouses – including Joachim Sauer, the husband of German Chancellor Angela Merkel; Brigitte Macron, the wife of French President Emmanuel Macron; and Philip May, the husband of British Prime Minister Theresa May – set off on a boat tour of the Hamburg harbour as planned.

Report says over 1000 Bakassi indigenes evicted from Cameroon to Nigeria

According to Daily Post, over 1000 Bakassi indigenes have been allegedly evicted from Cameroon to Nigeria following a new tax regime reportedly introduced by the Cameroonian authorities.

The victims, who reside in Abana, headquarters of the former Bakassi Local Government Area that was ceeded to Cameroon, are said to have started arriving Ikang in Cross River State and Mbo in Akwa Ibom State.

Nigeria and Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper, Carl Ikeme, has been diagnosed with acute Leukaemia.

The diagnosis was confirmed in a statement by his club, Wolves who has also expressed their support for the 31-year-old.

The American president had just had a powerful handshake with Agata Kornhauser-Duda’s husband, Polish President, Andrzej Duda, and had naturally made to also have a warm handshake with the wife of his host.
