See photos as Armoured vehicle rolls over Venezuelan protester

A young boy has been fatally injured in Venezuelan capital of Caracas after an armoured National Guard vehicle rolled over him breaking his lungs.

Anti-government protesters poured into the streets of this once bustling commercial and residential hub, their young faces obscured by tear-gas masks and bandanas.

Nigeria - Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau, has told President Muhammadu Buhari and Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai, that they are shouldering a burden beyond their capacities.

Shekau stated this in a new 14-minute video, where he also denied that he sustained injuries when air force fighter jets, targeted a location in Borno State.

Oh dear me! Police parade pastor allegedly caught with human head

Nigeria - The Oyo State Police Command yesterday paraded a 55-year-old pastor over unlawful possession of a human head, buffalo horn, as well as gunpowder and charms.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the Police also paraded 18 suspects arrested for alleged armed robbery, stealing and cultism. 

Kanye West 'deletes Twitter and Instagram accounts'

US rapper Kanye West appears to have mysteriously deleted his Twitter and Instagram accounts with no explanation given.

The Twitter page for @kanyewest, which had more than 27 million followers, now brings up a message saying: "Sorry, that page doesn't exist!"

Meanwhile, on Instagram, @kanyewest now leads to a screen, with the words: "Sorry, this page isn't available."

Wow! Kenyan athlete Eliud Kipchoge runs fastest marathon on record at Monza

Kenyan Olympic athlete Eliud Kipchoge has run the fastest ever recorded marathon in two hours and 24 seconds.

However, he narrowly missed out on his bid to become the first person to run the 26.2 mile distance in under two hours.

His time also does not count as a world record because of conditions surrounding the race, including pacemaking arrangements.

Nigerian Army bans commercial transportation, sale of fish in Borno

The Nigerian Army has reiterated its ban on commercial transportation and sale of fish along the Maiduguri-Monguno-Baga axis in Borno State.The ban was contained in a statement by the Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, Col. Onyeama Nwachukwu, issued to journalists yesterday in Maiduguri.

The statement reads warned that some people were taking advantage of the re-opening of the route to smuggle fish for Boko Haram insurgents and replenish their logistics to continue with insurgency and terrorism in the northeast.

EFCC reveals real owner of Ikoyi building where $43b was recovered:

Nigeria - The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has revealed that the owner of the building where $43,449,947, £27,800 and N23, 218,000 was discovered in Ikoyi, Lagos State.

The commission has named Mrs. Folashade Oke, the wife of the suspended Director General of the National Intelligence Agency, NIA, Ayo Oke as the owner of Flat 7B, No. 13, Osborne Road, Osborne Towers.

Recall that the agency had laid claim to the money.
