One of two suicide bombers who killed at least 37 people in Ankara was a female PKK member, Turkish security officials said.

The 22-year-old attacker is from the eastern city of Kars and joined the PKK (Kurdistan Workers Party) in 2013.

At least 34 people have been killed and 125 wounded (19 seriously wounded), in a car boming in Turkey's capital, the local governor's office has said.

The explosion happened in the centre of Ankara around 6.45pm local time, the official statement said.

Islamic State has lost 600 fighters and thousands of square kilometres over the past three weeks, the US Secretary of State says.

John Kerry made the comments after talks with European allies in Paris on the Syrian conflict.

"In Syria, over the last three weeks alone, Daesh has lost 3,000 sq km (1,160 sq miles) and 600 fighters," he said, using another name for Islamic State.

At least 14 civilians and two soldiers were killed in an attack by gunmen at an Ivory Coast beach resort popular with tourists, according to the country's president.

A witness said attackers opened fire with rifles as they entered the L'Etoile du Sud (Southern Star) hotel in Grand-Bassam, which is around 25 miles east of the capital Abidjan. It was one of three hotels targeted, according to the country's Interior Ministry.

US President Barack Obama has warned White House contenders to avoid raising tensions, a day after a rally by Donald Trump was called off amid clashes.

Mr Obama said candidates should not resort to "insults" and "certainly not violence against other Americans".

Mr Trump, who leads the race for the Republican nomination, cancelled his Chicago rally after fighting broke out between his supporters and protesters.

They plan to prescribe a sanction of N5m fine against any service provider sending unsolicited SMS to subscribers.

Nigeria has 149,787,120 active Global System for Mobile communication (GSM) lines as at November 2015 according to the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) and subscribers are said to lose over N547b yearly per unsolicited SMS at N50 deductible, every five days of subscription.
