Quebec mosque suspect charged as victims named

Officials in Quebec have released the names of six people killed in an attack at a mosque after a man was charged with their murders.

The Quebec Islamic Cultural Centre was attacked by a gunman at about 8pm on Sunday, as a group of about 50 people gathered for evening prayers.

Police said a further eight people were wounded in the attack which the mosque's president, Mohamed Yangui, described as "barbaric"

A witness said up to three gunmen started shooting inside the Quebec City Islamic Cultural Centre, where around 50 people had gathered.

Several shots have been fired inside the Islamic Cultural Center in Canada's Quebec City, local media reported. There were about forty people inside at the moment of the accident, according to witnesses.
