Scare as NEMA says 2.9million lightning strikes to hit Nigeria in May

Nigeria - President Buhari has terminated the appointment of  the Director-General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mustapha Maihaja (pictured below) and has appointed Air Vice Marshal Muhammadu Alhaji Muhammed (retd) as his replacement.

NEMA says 1,295 Nigerians returned from Libya in November

Nigeria - The National Emergency Management Agency ( NEMA ) says a total of 1,295 Nigerians voluntarily returned from Libya in November after being stranded in the volatile North African country enroute Europe.

The Nigerians returned in various batches between Nov. 6 and Nov. 30 with the assistance of the International Organisation for Migration ( IOM ) and the European Union ( EU ).

Wow! NEMA says 643 Nigerians voluntarily returned from Libya in 3 months

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) on Tuesday said 643 Nigerians had voluntarily returned from Libya from Dec. 15, 2016 to March 7, 2017.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Alhaji Muhammad Sidi, the Director General, NEMA, made the disclosure while receiving a fresh batch of 171 Nigerians who arrived in Lagos.
