IMF says Nigeria’s economic growth will slow to 3% in 2023


The International Monetary Fund, IMF, has predicted that Nigeria’s economic growth will slow to 3.0 per cent in 2023, while the inflation rate drops to 17 per cent.

The 66-year-old Bulgarian economist made this known during a press briefing over the weekend, and said that she was pleased to see world leaders finally realizing that only a coordinated effort will help halt the spread of the novel coronavirus.

IMF says Nigeria’s economy still vulnerable despite exiting recession

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) said on Friday that the Nigerian economy was still vulnerable despite the country exiting recession.

The IMF in a statement issued by its Media and Press Officer, Raphael Ranspach, welcomed the Federal Government’s actions to improve the power sector and business environment under the Economic Recovery and Growth Plan (EGRP).

Oh my! One hurt in letter bomb blast at IMF’s Paris office




An employee at the Paris offices of the International Monetary Fund suffered injuries to her hands and face after opening a letter which exploded on Thursday, police said.
Several people were evacuated from the building near the Arc de Triomphe monument “as a precaution”, a police source said.
