Jailbird! Police re-arrest expert ‘Jeep’ snatcher who escaped from court

Nigeria - The Cross River State Police Command has said it successfully re-arrested a notorious armed robber, Ukame Ubong, popularly called ‘Ability’ after he escaped from court.

Briefing newsmen on the development, the Commissioner of Police in the state, Hafiz Inuwa, described the suspect, who is a native of Akwa Ibom state, as ‘an expert’ in snatching of Jeeps and other sophisticated cars across the state.

Oh my word! Boundary dispute between Akwa Ibom and Cross River leaves at least 20 dead

Nigeria - Many people have been feared killed in a boundary dispute between the people of Oku Iboku in Itu Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State and the people of Ikot Offiong in Odukpani LGA in Cross River State again.

According to Southern City News, the clash between the two communities, which started Friday night, was like a war as light and heavy weapons were used by both sides. An unconfirmed report said over 20 persons were killed.
