Notorious Joey Barton banned from football for 18 months over betting

Barton applauds the fans after a game between Burnley and Middlesbrough.



The FA has announced that Burnley midfielder Joey Barton has been banned from football for 18 months for betting offences.
Barton, 34, has admitted a charge relating to 1,260 bets he placed on football matches between 2006 and 2016.
He has also been fined £30,000 for his conduct.

Lincoln have become the first non-league team to reach the quarter finals of the FA Cup in more than 100 years.
The non-league team beat Premier League team Burnley, who are 81 places above them in the tables.
