The Arewa Youth Forum, AYF, has lamented that President Muhammadu Buhari and his team has performed below Nigerians’ expectations.

AYF National president, Gambo Ibrahim Gujungu in a statement in Kaduna on Sunday said, “The youths also called for cabinet reshuffle as they posited that those that were expected to assist the President in his change agenda has failed in the discharge of their duties.”

Alas! Arewa Youths allege that Nnamdi Kanu is planning to escape through Cameroonian borders

Nigeria - The Arewa Youths Consultative Forum (AYCF) has claimed that the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, is planning to escape Nigeria through the Cameroonian borders.

AYCF said it had intelligence reports, that Kanu was on his way to the Cameroon borders, from where he could easily flee from the country.

Edwin Clark declares Biafra agitation a nonsense, blasts Arewa Youths as well

Nigeria - Elder statesman Edwin Clark yesterday condemned the Biafra agitation led by Nnamdi Kanu.

Clark spoke yesterday when the Chairman, Senate Committee on Local and Foreign Debt, Senator Shehu Sani, visited him in Abuja.

He also condemned the quit notice by the Arewa Group to the Igbo living in the North, saying it was worrisome.

KABOOM!!! IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu rejects withdrawal of threat by Arewa Youths, insists Igbos must vacate North

Nigeria - The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, under the leadership of Nnamdi Kanu, on Friday rejected Arewa youths’ decision to withdrawal the quit notice issued to Igbos in the northern part of the country.

Recall that Arewa youths had recently ordered Igbos residing in the North to vacate the region before October 1.

Arewa Youths withdraw October 1 ultimatum issued to Igbos in the north

Nigeria - The October 1 quit notice issued by Arewa youths to Igbos living in the north has been withdrawn.

The Arewa youths who issued press statements in June said the ultimatum was given so that the Igbos who are Biafran agitators and reside in the North, can quickly go to their region to form their desired country or face physical attacks if they choose not to leave.

Nigeria - Members of the Arewa Youths Consultative Forum (ACF) today disclosed that they had yet to change their stand that Igbo residents in northern Nigeria who endorse the agitation for Biafra should leave by a deadline of October 1, 2017. 

However, the group said Igbo residents who are not Biafran agitators may stay on in the northern states.

Nigeria - The Arewa Youths Coalition is set to withdraw the October 1 quit notice handed Igbo in the North to leave.

The youths were waving the olive branch after a meeting with Borno State Governor Kashim Shettima in Abuja yesterday.

Nigeria - The National Peace Committee headed by former Military Head of State, Gen. Abdulsalam Abubakar,(rtd) on Tuesday said politicians who failed to deliver dividends of democracy to their people were behind the clamour for secession of Nigeria.

In a statement issued by its Secretary, Authur-Martins Aginam in Abuja, the committee condemned the rising spate of hate speech and agitation for the breakup of Nigeria, warning that such action was not in the interest of the country and its people.

Nigeria - Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has revealed alleged underground plans by the Northerners to slaughter Igbo people on October 1.

The former Minister via his Twitter handle made the claim Tuesday Morning, saying, “I heard the audio inciting northerners to slaughter Igbos on Oct. 1st.

Bishop Oyedepo to Arewa Youths and other Agitators: Nigeria will remain an indivisible entity!!!

The General Overseer of the Living Faith Bible Church, Bishop David Oyedepo has said the quit notice issued by Arewa youths asking Igbos to vacate the North on October 1 will not stand.

Addressing his members, Oyedepo said Nigeria would continue to remain an indivisible entity where everyone and all the ethnic nationalities would be free to live and achieve their purpose.
