Relief as kidnapped Oyo ASUP leaders, others regain freedom after payment of N5 million ransom

The Chairman, Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP), Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igbo-Ora, Mr. Opadijo Olujide, along with Secretary of the Union, Gbenga Alayande and three others have been kidnapped.

FG to striking Polytechnic lecturers: Call off your strike or no pay

Nigeria - The federal government while speaking through a representative in Abuja yesterday indicated that it would implement the ‘No work, No pay’ rule on polytechnic lecturers currently on strike.

Chris Ngige who is the minister of labour and employment, appealed with the lecturers involved in the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) industrial action, to suspend their 5-day warning strike.
