Oyo state governor, Seyi Makinde offers to donate his blood for research on a cure for Coronavirus

Nigeria - Oyo state governor, Seyi Makinde has expressed willingness to donate his blood to researchers to enable them come up with a cure for Coronavirus.





The governor tested positive for COVID-19 in March but recovered quickly after he said he took honey, Vitamin C, and blackseed oil to boost his immune system and fight the deadly virus.

Having recovered, he's volunteering to donate his blood for research.

He wrote on Twitter: "We have been advocating for local solutions to the COVID-19 pandemic in Oyo State. So, as a COVID-19 survivor, I volunteered to donate my blood to be studied by our experts researching on the “Evaluation of Post Infection Protection Against SARS-COV-2 (COVID-19) in Nigeria."
