Nigeria - The Federal Road Safety Corps has confirmed the killing of one of its personnel, while two others were abducted yesterday along Kaduna-Abuja expressway.
Corps Public Education Officer, Bisi Kazeem, said some Marshals of the corps travelling from Kaduna after spending weekend with their families came under attack on their way back to Abuja.
He said one Ardo Njiga, a Marshal Inspector 1 was killed, while Sati Bello Garba, who is a Road Marshal Assistant 1 was taken with another unidentified Marshal of the corps.
He said the entire passengers in the bus they were travelling were taken to the bush by the kidnappers. He said the kidnappers have started calling family members of some victims to demand ransom.
Kazeem disclosed that the corps was in touch with security agencies to ensure the release of the kidnapped victims.
