Former VP Alex Ekwueme flown for overseas medical treatment

Nigeria - Former Vice President, Alex Ekwueme, has been flown abroad for medical treatment.

The ailing Second ‎Republic Vice President was brought to the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu at about 7:26am on Sunday in a National Orthopedic Hospital Enugu, SUV ambulance.

Vanguard reports that he was driven straight into the tarmac, where he was transfered into a waiting air ambulance with registration number N605 JA.
According to the report, the Air Ambulance had arrived the airport late Saturday evening and spent the night.
Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari had few weeks ago approved foreign medical treatment for Ekwueme.
