Nigeria - The National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) will meet on Monday, over comments made by former Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar and Minister of Women Affairs, Aisha Alhassan.
According to Punch, APC National Vice-Chairman, North-East, Mustapha Salihu, confirmed this on Friday.
“This is a national issue. I think by Monday, we will sit and we will address the matter, but I can assure you that there is no cause for alarm. Our party is intact and on ground,” Salihu said.
In an interview with BBC Hausa, Alhassan also known as Mama Taraba, made it clear she would support Atiku if he contested against President Buhari for the presidency in 2019.
Atiku on his part, had alleged that the APC had sidelined him, after helping them win in 2015.
