Several people are missing and at least four others have been injured after an explosion at a chemical plant in western Germany.
The blast happened at chemical company BASF's headquarters in Ludwigshafen at around 11.30am (10.30am UK time).
The firm said the explosion occurred during work on a pipeline route for transporting raw chemicals to shipping.
Footage from the site showed a large plume of smoke rising from a harbour, which BASF uses to unload flammable liquids and liquid gas.
BASF said initial tests for contamination recorded "no elevated readings".
However, people who live in Ludwigshafen and neighbouring city Mannheim are being warned to stay inside and to shut all doors and windows.
Other units on the BASF site have been closed for safety reasons.
