Oh boy! 12-year old boy tried to detonate bomb at German Christmas market
A 12-year old German-Iraqi boy tried to detonate a bomb at a Christmas market in the western town of Ludwigshafen last month and planted another explosive device near the town hall a couple of days later, German prosecutors said on Friday.
Focus magazine cited security and judicial sources as saying the boy was "strongly radicalized" and apparently instructed by an unknown member of the militant group Islamic State.
European satellite navigation system Galileo takes on GPS after delays
A European satellite navigation system which promises to outperform US and Russian rivals has gone live after years of delays.
Galileo, which launched on Thursday, has 18 satellites in place so far and will initially be boosted by satellites from the American GPS system.
But its signal will grow stronger and more independent as satellites are added to the network 14,430 miles above the Earth.
Russia hits back at 'scurrilous' White House cyberhacking claims
Russia has hit back at claims by the White House that Vladimir Putin was directly involved in cyber attacks designed to influence the outcome of the US election.
"At this point they need to either stop talking about this or finally present some sort of proof," Mr Putin's spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, told journalists during a visit to Japan.
"Otherwise this looks extremely scurrilous."

Nigeria - The three senators elected last Saturday in the Rivers rerun polls have joined their colleagues in the National Assembly.
Inaugurating them, Senate President Bukola Saraki, on Thursday, noted that the new senators emerged from a tough election.
